Right UP FRONT!  ihaveanotion.com does not collect any of your personal data to sell/share/transfer to any other entity period.  ihaveanotion.com may collect the information you provide for “in-house” use, specifically for email, and primarily for site notifications.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we, (WordPress) collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Of course, you will be giving ihaveanotion.com your information if you contact us… however that is only so we can contact you regarding your reason for the contact. It is not visible on the web site or anyone else.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in a cookie. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. The cookie does not contain any personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We do use several analytical sources, and they will use your information for demographics… your location, browser, pages visited, how long you visited, etc, however, none of that information is available for me to use or otherwise disseminate.

Not now or in the future does I Have a Notion plan to share your data. When or if we do you will be notified and given the opportunity to opt out.

How long we retain your data

When you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. With the exception of any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and Authorized Customers is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees. They must use a password in order to gain access to the information. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers are protected by encryption protocols. In addition, credit card numbers are not stored at I Have A Notion. The Shopping Cart Provider, (Paypal), handles all transaction and is encrypted to protect information sent over the Internet. We take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site; electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering, and break-ins. We cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Authorized Customers for any such occurrences. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is NOT locally stored on site at IHaveANotion.com.

What third parties we receive data from

If you pay via Papal or other payment portals, your shipping and billing addresses are shared with I Have A Notion, simply so your purchases may be shipped.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

None, at the moment and can’t foresee any reason to consider it in the future. If we did, we would use your information to contact you (via email), to give you the opportunity to opt in/out.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

We don’t operate under any regulatory offices… so thinking this won’t be an issue ever.
